Exciting Projects in the New Year

At the beginning of the year, Mauro Peter once again appeared in the role of Uriel in Haydn’s The Creation, conducted by Ádám Fischer, this time at the Müpa Budapest.

On 4 January 2026, Mauro Peter then invited audiences to a chamber music evening together with the Luzerner Kammermusiker, featuring works by Beethoven, Mozart and Respighi, among others, showcasing the breadth of his musical range. This combination of chamber music and art song allows for intimate musical moments, far removed from the scale of large orchestral performances.

At the end of January 2026, a staged version of Schubert’s Winterreise follows at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, presented in Hans Zender’s arrangement. Musical direction is led by Dominic Limburg, with staging and choreography by Christian Spuck. This production brings together art song, dramatic expression and contemporary theatrical interpretation.
